Connections for All:
Accessibility Institute Highlights
The third C4All Institute was in Houston, TX on December 7, 2006. The small but dedicated group of participants got a lot of great ideas on how to improve the accessibility of their CTCs and how to assess their operations and plan for growth.
One of the important themes that came of the Houston institute was the importance of getting buy-in from colleagues and board members. One participant commented on "the importance of co-operating on strategic planning within organization and beyond to address these issues. Together, we can make 'Connections for All'."
The staff at our host site, Tech For All, did an amazing job of supporting us and giving both the participants and trainers a warm Texas welcome. Many thanks to Will Reed, Pam Gardner, and everyone else we met at Mission Milby!
As at each Institute, AccessNow Awards were selected in a random drawing, and our winners were East End Life Center (see the celebratory high-kick to the right) and Tech For All! Congratulations!
