Connections for All:
Accessibility Institute Highlights
The first C4All Institute of 2007 was in Los Angeles, CA on January 9 and 10.
The 2-day Los Angeles Institute included a panel discussion featuring several CTC clients with a variety of disabilities, as well as a day of site visits to a local AT center and a local CTC. Participants had many opportunities to interact with people with disabilities and with all kinds of assistive technology.
The Institute would not have been possible without our host, Patty Ortiz of CDTech, who coordinated with Los Angeles Trade-Technical College. A big thank you also goes out to our site visit hosts, Computer Access Center and FSS Project T.E.C.H.'s Tom Bradley Center.
Two AccessNow Award winners were selected at each day of the Institute, for a total of four recipients: San Diego Community Housing Corporation in El Cajon, Community Access Center in Riverside, and Familia Unida-Families United Living with Multiple Sclerosis and Centro Latino de Educacion Popular in Los Angeles!
