Connections for All:
Accessibility Institute Highlights
The C4All Institute in Baltimore, MD on January 16, 2007 was a huge success! This was the best-attended Institute, with 36 participants.
This Institute was a great opportunity to network with people from CTCs near and far. The metro areas of DC, Baltimore, Pennsylvania, and Raleigh-Durham were well-represented, while individuals came from as far as Texas and Massachusetts.
The connections made by participants were very valuable when working in groups on the Self-Assessment tool. One commented that the "two heads are better than one" approach was an important part of the experience.
The University of Baltimore a terrific site, giving us the opportunity to include a visit to the office of Disability Support Services. This was made possible by our wonderful host, Gayle Carney of the Center for Community Technology Services.
Another pair of AccessNow Awards were given out to two lucky participants, Capitol Hill Computer Center in Washington DC and The Dakota Center in Dayton OH!
