Connections for All:
Program Outcomes
Outcomes for the C4All program included:
- Knowledge and attitudes of CTC staff attending the Accessibility Institutes changed as they learn about the breadth of disability in the U.S. population and the tools available to assist these individuals.
- CTCs performed self-assessments of their current levels of accessibility and created plans to increase their accessibility by serving people with disabilities.
- New and enhanced online tools and resources assisted CTCs in improving accessibility at their centers.
- More people with disabilities participated in CTC-based training programs.
- Best practices and case studies are documented and distributed to CTCs and ATA centers throughout the U.S.
- A closer working relationship between CTCs and nearby Assistive Technology Resource Centers.
- Select group of CTCs use grants to:
- Outfit computers with assistive peripherals and software.
- Train staff in the use of accessible and assistive technology.
- Perform outreach to attract people with physical and learning disabilities.
- Make their centers more physically accessible.
- Make training delivered at centers more appropriate and helpful for people with physical and learning disabilities.
CTCNet developed best practices for Technical Assistance Design and Delivery to increase the accessibility of all CTCs.
